Investments from companies continue to flow into the Energy Valley project promoted by KEPCO, which is being positioned as Korea’s Silicon Valley.
This year’s investment attraction target has already been exceeded. Reporter Kim In-jung reports:
Twenty-five domestic and foreign companies have pledged investments in the Bitgaram Energy Valley project led by KEPCO. For the first time,
major energy companies and foreign firms are participating in the investment.
Woo Hee-tak, CEO of MCST (resident company), stated, “Being close allows smooth communication and helps us quickly understand what the contracting companies want…”
As market expectations for new energy industries, including smart grids, align with the effects of KEPCO’s relocation,
the Energy Valley project is beginning to gain momentum.
